SELLERS DRESSAGE

Sellers Dressage works with horses from prospects through the FEI levels, focusing on correct foundations that support long-term success. Dressage has been Sellers' discipline of choice ever since she watched Totalis compete at WEG in Lexington, KY. Over the past decade, she has trained under USDF Gold Medalist Natalya Gryson and continually invests in her education with clinicians and top trainers in the sport.

This background gives her an in-depth understanding of how horses think, learn, and move. She enjoys developing each horse thoughtfully so they become confident partners for their owners and riders. Sellers continues to seek regular guidance from top professionals to refine her training and ensure every horse receives the highest standard of care and development.

MEET SELLERS

Sellers has a lifetime of hands-on experience working with horses in different settings. She began showing with the Alabama Hunter Jumper Association, later transitioning to the United States Pony Club, trail guiding, and becoming a working student for international riders and trainers. This diverse background helps her care for and manage horses to support their comfort, well-being, and performance.

Sellers has had the exciting opportunity to develop Lexington IHF and Labyrinth IHF as young horses. Her long-term goal is to continue gaining FEI experience so she can be a more effective young horse developer. Sellers is passionate about guiding horses to the top of the sport efficiently and effectively, so more and more people can enjoy them.

Training Philosophy

Sellers has a deep understanding of horses both on the ground and in the arena. While she follows the structure of the USDF levels, she also incorporates challenging theory and techniques from classical masters into her training. By integrating equine psychology, she meets each horse's individual needs while keeping them focused and committed to their development.

Sellers values creating clarity for her horses, holding firm to expectations while using techniques that help them understand and meet the demands of the sport. When developing horses, progress is never lost when revisiting a lower level or returning to basics. The most rewarding part of training, however, is improving a horse so their owner can truly enjoy them.
